SHAH ALAM -- Umno is prepared to hold dialogues with all non-governmental organisations (NGO), including JATI, about current issues related to the government or the party itself, said Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan.
"We'll receive anyone irrespective of race, Umno isn't selective, we're prepared to discuss matters for mutual benefit," he told reporters after delivering a talk at the 1Malaysia Rapat Umum programme attended by 389 school teachers from Kapar, here on Wednesday.
Ahmad Maslan remarked that he was confident JATI was capable of upholding Islam, the Malays and the Rulers Institution.
He said the NGO could go far with leaders such as Dr Hasan Ali.
"I wish JATI success. We have thousands of NGOs and all of them can play a role to ensure the nation's peace and harmony is maintained," he added.
JATI, formed with the aim to uphold the sovereignty of Islam, the Malays and Rulers Institution was launched on Tuesday night.
