A Vote For DAP Is A Vote For PAS

DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang’s claim that "a vote for DAP is not a vote for PAS, but a vote for Pakatan Rakyat" is merely word play and makes no sense as it is only seen as an attempt to confuse the public by using their upside down logic to hide the fact that DAP is an accomplice to the implementation of Islamic theocracy and hudud law.

Both DAP and PAS are allied together in the Pakatan Rakyat coalition, and therefore a vote for DAP is akin to a vote for PAS which advocates the implementation of hudud law. This is the simple truth, and Lim Kit Siang is merely attempting to play down DAP’s role as an accomplice to fulfilling PAS’ goals.

Last year at the Johor state legislative assembly, I had asked DAP Johor Chairman Dr Boo Cheng Hau to make it clear that PAS and DAP are promoting the implementation of hudud law, but Boo Cheng Hao had declined to comment.

If Lim Kit Siang and DAP had really opposed to the implementation of hudud law, then DAP should formally severe all relations with PAS and refuse to campaign for PAS candidates during elections, and more importantly protest the implementation of hudud law and the establishment of an Islamic state by PAS, instead of merely trying to play around with words to confuse the people.

Lim Kit Siang claims that a vote for DAP does not mean a vote for PAS, but on the other hand, they campaign for PAS candidates during by-elections and PAS is slowly trying to implement its Islamic policies in the states under Pakatan Rakyat. Therefore, Lim Kit Siang’s call for the Chinese community to support PAS is nothing but a shameless two-faced behavior.
