KUALA LUMPUR - Mohafri Mohamed, the husband of a woman who was found dead in a closet of her house in Taman Pinggiran Ukay on Dec 30, wrapped in a blanket with hands and legs tied, was detained by police at Zoo Negara here Sunday night. Ampang Jaya police chief Abdul Jalil Hassan who confirmed that the 37-year-old husband was detained at 8.30pm said Mohafri was walking about aimlessly in the area. To court on Monday "We received a call from the public with information that the particular man was spotted in the area," he said when contacted here Sunday. Abdul Jalil said the suspect would be taken to the Ampang Court at 9am Monday to enable police to obtain a remand order. Yesterday, police had circulated a photograph of Mohafri after he went missing since the death of his 39-year-old wife Fazlina Ahmad whom he had married six years ago. Police subsequently detained a woman believed to be his companion. - Bernama
